My love for Mastiffs
began 8 years ago. I was searching for a giant breed dog that would fit my lifestyle
perfectly, and after much research I came across The Mastiff. In an effort to learn
more about the breed, I volunteered for Mastiff Rescue. That is when I got my first
foster dog, Rifka. Rifka sold me on Mastiffs. I got Rifka when she was 5 years old
and she died at 7 1/2 years of age from cancer. During that time, I had also
obtained 2 more Mastiffs through rescue, Tristin and Juliet. If you have the time, I
urge you to visit their pages. They were truly amazing and special dogs, with a
story of their own. They are all missed greatly.
I've since started a new
chapter in Mastiffs. Upon the passing of Juliet, my "Princess Punkin'
Paws," I decided to get a puppy. I wanted to get a puppy to train for showing
and perhaps even obedience or rally. I wanted a pup to work with and bond with on a
different level. Juliet was a medical disaster and my time and emotions were spent on
making her well. I don't regret a single moment of it. I'd do it all
over again for her.
Here I am now, my puppy
just turned a year of age. She's been everything I wanted and more! We are
having a blast showing. She has had some very nice accomplishments in the show ring,
including a Best Puppy In Show!!!!
