The Dogue de Bordeaux (DDB) is another breed that I hold dear.

This unique breed has a lot to offer, but isn't for everyone.  If you are considering a DDB, please take the time to educate yourself about the breed.  The DDB has a lot of health problems and not too many "reputable" breeders.  Do your research!

Below is a link to the Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America.  If this is a breed you are considering, please visit this site.  There is a great amount of information provided.  Take into consideration the necessary health testing that the DDBSA recommends.  If your breeder cannot provide proof of the necessary health testing on the sire/dam, you seriously need to consider a different breeder!  There are plenty of "breeders" out there breeding the DDB.  Sadly, there is also a large number of DDB in rescue as a result of poor breeding practices. 

Please also consider adopting a rescue!
